Although he still hasn't achieved his one-time dream of being a professional soccer player, former Griffin Matt Morrison hasn't done too bad for himself -- earning lead roles in three major Broadway shows, Hairspray, Light in the Piazza, and a revival of South Pacific.

The Cypress native attended Los Al as a student within OCHSA. After graduating from Los Al, he moved to New York and soon earned a spot in a Broadway production of Footloose when he was 19.

From there he went on to roles in The Rocky Horror Show, A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, Hairspray (for which he earned an OCC nomination),and The Light in the Piazza (which garnered Matt Tony, Drama Desk, OCC nominations).

Between Broadway appearances, he has apeared in such TV shows as "Numb3rs," "Ghost Whisperer," "CSI: Miami," "Sex and the City," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Hack," and the television production of "Once Upon a Mattress." Matt has also performed in several concerts with the Boston Pops.
